•"Laylat Al-Henna - ليلة الحناء"•

Few days or 2 days before the wedding the henna night takes a place at the bride’s house. It is a very special day for the bride as it is a ladies night only.
On this occasion, the henna artist puts henna on the bride’s hands and feet. Henna is a dark brown paste made from henna planet. After a time it leaves beautiful dark stain on the skin.
All the relatives and friends of the bride come and celebrate the last day of the single life of the bride before getting married. They gather and dance and sing.

This night is considered very important to the bride's family to show its love and value to the daughter. The family makes sure in this night that the bride is putting on all her traditional designed gold.
It is said that the origin of Henna Night was adopted from an Egyptian myth. The King of Egypt"Ozoris" was killed by the God of evil and cut his body into 14 pieces. The queen went and collected her husband's body parts. While she was collecting, her hands were fully covered with red blood. Egyptions symbolised her action as loyalty to the husband(Henna Night, 2015).

Moreover, the guests also put henna on their hands at the same night. They take pictures with the bride and enjoy the food the served. After the guests arrive, the bride enters the room with load instruments and with the cheers of the old ladies. Then she sits in a corner and starts putting henna.
